Newlund, Chris

Chris Newlund has a self-directed art education at the heart of which is many oil paintings workshops by people whose work she admires, and many hours in front of the easel. She has been pursuing excellence in art since 1995, experimenting endlessly with subject matter, paint application, mood, and composition. She is convinced of the power of brush strokes and tries to keep that expression first and foremost. She is also believing in the of the necessity to paint regularly from life, and particularly enjoys Plein air efforts.

Chris’ works hang in corporate and private collections throughout the United States and beyond.
